Yoga has been a part of Sarah's life for over 10 years, and her practice has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both physically and mentally on and off the mat. So much so, that it lead her to complete her RYT-200 training in the summer of 2018. Sarah loves to continue her education every time she steps on the mat and is a constant student of the practice, deeply grateful for the ongoing education and loving wisdom her teachers have shared with her throughout the years.
In her classes, Sarah loves to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice, providing variations throughout to help students at any level. Sarah's goal is to help others thrive in life by nurturing their Soul, Lifestyle and Health through the practice of yoga and mediation. Her hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
In the summer of 2018, Sarah completed a 200-hour teacher training with The Yoga and Healing Center and got her official RYT-200 certificate to begin teaching shortly after. To continue that education and be of more help to students and non-students alike, also completing a 21-day Online Yoga Business Seminar with Lucas Rockwood, Deepak Chopra's Primordial Sound Meditation training and a Master Choa Kuk Sui's Pranic Healing seminar with Donna Vasco. Throughout 2019, the education continued with a few more meditation seminars hosted online by Deepak Chopra, Sadie Nardini's "Yoga Shred"online teacher training and 3-day "skills and drills" seminar with Rocky Heron. In 2020-21, she signed on for an intensive prerequisite training (for the RYT-300 program) at Dig Yoga and is scheduled for a restorative teacher training in the fall of 2023.
Sarah loves to travel and recently visited India for two weeks on a yoga pilgrimage and got to see the Taj Mahal, along with many other beautiful parts of India - including the Himalayan mountains. The pandemic really put a damper on travel but this year Sarah is planning on seeing much of the US in the Class A RV (a big bus) her and her husband own to see concerts and more. In January of 2023 she visited the glorious Tetons in Jackson Hole Wyoming, in the upcoming months they'll head to Boston for a music festival, Tennessee for her grandmother's 90th birthday, and more! You can read more about Sarah's trip to India below.
Right before the universe started me down this ‘new’ path in 2011, I found out I had Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and Mitral Valve Prolapse. The first thing I did was lose some weight and start doing more yoga. Fast forward to today…my day starts with kiss goodbye from my husband and a cuddle with my cute dog Charlotte. Then I head downstairs to drink my vitamin regimen, a mix of Isotonic powders designed specifically for me, and sit quietly in the sunroom (no music or TV) to write in my 5-minute journal, then figure out my day (if not done the night before). Taking a shower is the BEST time! I use a sea salt scrub, talk to my higher self, set an intention for the day and clear any negative thoughts/energy. Throughout the day, I look for inspiration and late afternoon, take my dog for a walk to get some exercise and fresh air. Side note: I love being able to walk around the house on conference calls, or do some handstands whenever the mood strikes!
After living with Hashimoto’s for over 10 years, it feels great to be doing so much naturally ~ NOT taking prescription drugs. I have had nodules on my thyroid for years but my numbers were always fine. In 2018 I finally had a biopsy done (thanks to my overly cautious aunt), which came back negative. Since then, I ramped up on everything and attribute the visible decrease in the size of the nodules, as well as positive weight management, yoga (3-5x per week), supplements, meditation and continual personal growth by reading inspirational books, as well as self-care a priority, have helped me stay on track for a healthier life.

Sarah's love for travel is a reflection of her insatiable thirst for exploration and growth. With her continued pursuit of knowledge, India beckoned and she answered the call with a yoga pilgrimage that allowed her to bask in the presence of the awe-inspiring Taj Mahal, the serenity of the Himalayan peaks and amazing guides and gurus. Throughout her life, writing has been a steadfast companion and upon her return from India she had a vision for this inspirational journal. The culmination of years of introspection, exploration, and insight, this offering invites readers into her world of discovery.
In this inaugural and inspirational journal coming in October 2023, Sarah takes you on a journey of self-reflection. With help from spiritual leaders and inspirational greats, paired with photographs she’s taken from around the world and journaling prompts aligned with the quotes and imagery, her hope is that you find something new within yourself that gives you joy and support. Woven with threads of self-love and compassion, shared reflection and profound appreciation, she extends a warm welcome to readers, inviting them to join her in this voyage of introspection. As she continues to evolve and grow, she eagerly anticipates the unfolding of future chapters — destined to be chronicled in the pages of her next two journals.
